Catherine Kim | Founder | PMHNP-BC
Recognizing that every individual has unique goals and needs, Catherine utilizes a treatment approach that is holistic, person-centered, and non-judgmental. Her dedication to helping those who are vulnerable extends beyond the office setting as she has lead fundraisers, headed children’s advocacy and enrichment events, and provided health education to the community. Having overcome early life trauma herself, Catherine understands the deep impact that life experiences can have on oneself. She believes that “healing can happen through a change of the heart.”

Catherine Kim is the founder of Enroot Mental Health & Wellness. She is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with years of clinical experience working with clients facing various mental health and behavioral challenges. She is trained across the lifespan and certified to treat children, adolescents, and adults in New York and New Jersey,
Soon after completing her undergraduate studies in nursing, Catherine realized that her passion in healthcare was in treating the mental health of individuals. She was reminded of her interest in psychology and the human mind that sprouted when she was a teenager. Thereafter, Catherine began to work in various psychiatric treatment settings including crisis intervention services, outpatient programs, and inpatient psychiatry. Through her experiences, both professionally and personally, her desire to help others heal internally grew. To better serve individuals in need, she furthered her education and completed her graduate training in the psychiatric-mental health nursing specialty at Hunter College, located in the heart of New York City.
